Yesterday we went out to the Egmont Pass. Right when we got out there we noticed it was pretty packed with boats. We drove around catching crabs and then started fishing. We only hooked up with 3 bonnethead sharks. We headed back to the skyway after a while and finally hooked up with what we think was a tarpon. He never came up to the surface but he fought for about 10 minutes until he ran for a pylon and snapped the line on it. We fished a little longer and decided to head in. I didn’t catch anything but it was a fun day to be on the water. We’re heading out there again this afternoon to give it another shot. Hopefully I’ll have some tarpon pictures tonight.
